ABOUT OUR PARENTS AND CITIZENS ASSOCIATION

Leichhardt Public School's Parents and Citizens Association is the representative body for parents and friends of Leichhardt Public School.

All parents, carers and friends of Leichhardt Public School are welcome to join the P&C and attend meetings. Membership of the P&C, required if you wish to vote on P&C motions, is by gold coin donation.

Meetings
The P&C meets on the FIRST Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the school's staff room.

Function of the P&C
The P&C promotes parents' views on school policy issues to the Principal and supports school services that enhance our students' learning.

An important role for the P&C is to raise funds that are used to support school programs. Fundraising initiatives include the school fete, occasional parking for Norton Street events, chocolate drives, and cake stalls. Current funding support includes contributing to the employment of specialist art teacher Patsy Chingwile.

Other roles for the P&C include supporting the school Canteen and supporting the school Bands and String groups.
