Our school tours are an opportunity for parents and children to meet our principal, staff and students during a school day. Tours will visit classrooms, speak with students and give participants an inside view of our school. All tours are led by Mr Buenen and our deputy principals, Ms Stephenson and Mr Smith allowing for small groups and plenty of question time. Register your interest via the office.

Pre-enrolment phone check-in: Throughout Terms 3 & 4

Throughout Terms 3 and 4 every family can expect to receive a check in phone call from one of our executive staff. These quick calls will provide families with the opportunity to ask any questions and let us know how we can best support your child’s transition to kindergarten. Parents of children who may need a little extra support starting school can contact the school at any time to arrange to meet with one of our team.

Kinder play date for 2021 students: Wednesday 16 September – 9:30am – 11am

Your child and you are invited to join us for a play date hosted by our kindergarten team and student leaders from across all year levels. This is a great chance to meet the LPS team and other parents whilst your child plays with other children starting school in 2021. This session will be held in the school hall.

Parents and children are invited stay for recess on the second morning.

Best Start Assessment: Thursday 28 January to Monday 1 February

All kindergarten students participate in Best Start Assessments before beginning school. The assessments usually take around 45 minutes and provide teachers with individualised information that helps teachers identify the literacy and numeracy skills and knowledge each student brings to school. Invitations to book your best start time are sent in Term 4.

First Day of Kindergarten: Tuesday 2 February

All kindergarten students will officially start school on Tuesday 2 February 2021. Parents are invited to stay for morning tea generously provided by the LPS P&C.
